Swim Lessons/ Coaching:

how to swim! Develop your stroke and form awareness in the water. Become
skilled at techniques which allow you to work with the water, not fight
it. Joanna attends coaching seminars on a regular basis to keep her up
to date. Each private lesson will focus on proper breathing, increasing your comfort in the water, improving your balance in the
water, and developing your technique Joanna works with both athletes who are looking to learn how to swim or improve their stroke, kids on swim teams looking to improve their stroke in competition, individuals who experience shoulder and lower back pain when swimming as well as adults and children who have never learned how to swim. Beginners and advanced swimmers are welcome. Currently Joanna teaches at the Abingdon Club in Jenkintown, PA, and North Penn YMCA. She can accommodate students at other pools if needed. Most sessions are 30 minutes in length. If choosing more than one stroke, longer sessions are available up to an hour (60 minutes). Rates based on length of lesson and facility. Please contact Joanna if you would like to learn more about becoming a more efficient swimmer and increasing your swim times!!! Triathletes and beginner students welcome. If you are frustrated with the lack of progress from other lessons you have taken, including Total Immersion, then why not give this a try. Use the principles you use in the pool to help with your other activities outside of the pool. Learn to move naturally with the water, not against the water fighting every stroke of the way. Use your energy to propel yourself forward rather than dragging yourself thru the water.

Nutrition in Motion is the Official Swim Coach for the CGI Racing Triathlon series!! Joanna, a certified swim coach (and soon to be USAT Tri coach in April) and elite triathlete, will lead the open water swim sessions from April - August. Check the CGI racing website for more details about the locations and times. These sessions are a great way to get some free advice!! Participants will also receive discounts for future private swim lessons. Include some friends and reduce your costs. - Private swim lessons in your own backyard pool (summer months only) - Open Water Swims - get ready for the triathlon season with a few open water swim sessions. get comfortable with open water starts, swimming around buoys, navigating (sighting), etc. Get used to your wetsuit! - Group swims to get you used to triathlon swim starts! - get 3 or 4 of your closest swim pals together to help you in the pool for a half an hour. Practice a mass start, being swum over, swam next to, overtaken - everything that freaks you out in a triathlon swim start.
